IT Park to be set up to promote tech: Shahbaz

He was addressing a high-level meeting held in connection with promotion of IT, here on Friday. Secretary Information Technology gave a detailed briefing regarding the department and apprised the Chief Minister about the promotion of IT in different countries. Chief Secretary Punjab, Chairman P&D, Chairman Chief Minister’s Monitoring & Implementation Cell, and President Chamber of Commerce & Industry Lahore, gave their suggestions regarding promotion of IT. Representatives of concerned private sector associated with IT also informed the Chief Minister about their proposals regarding promotion of IT in the province upon which the Chief Minister said that government will extend all out cooperation to private sector in this regard.

The Chief Minister said that promotion of the IT was of paramount importance for speedy development of the province and the government, while adopting a comprehensive strategy, would take substantial steps for the achievement of this objective.
