While reviewing the measures taken for the promotion and projects of information technology in different countries, the Chief Minister said that other countries, including our neighbouring countries, had made commendable achievements in the IT sector but we failed to achieve the desired results. “No attention was paid to this sector in the past which can be judged from this fact that there is no continuity in the policies for the development of IT and Secretaries of this department were changed frequently,” he added.

The Chief Minister directed Secretary Information Technology to submit him a detailed report regarding the performance and projects of the department within seven days so that a better strategy could be evolved for the promotion of IT.
