Flour millers to move court against food dept

He also said that the negotiations were underway with the food department for issuance of wheat quota. “But we were given a message through police that millers should forget government wheat quota due to which we decided to boycott today’s negotiations,” he said.  He said the prices of wheat had reached Rs 760-780 per 40-kg in the open market and production cost of 20-Kg bag had reached to Rs 440-450 per bag. So we could not sell the 20-kg flour bag at the government’s fixed price of Rs 365, he claimed. He said that they were asking the government to increase the price of flour for the last two and half months.
