No differences between PPP, PML-N over judges issue
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER August 3, 2008 LAHORE - Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leaders have said that there has been no difference between the PPP and the PML-N on the impeachment of President Pervez Musharraf and restoration of the deposed judges.
Benazir Bhutto shaheed laid down her life for the sake of democracy in the country and the PPP would not let the tree of democracy, whom she raised with her blood, wither away, said Member Federal Council PPP, Abdul Qadir Shaheen, and Secretary Information of the Party Saleem Mughal while talking to journalists here on Saturday.
They said situation was totally under control of the government and decision regarding judges’ restoration and other issues would be taken in consultation with other parties and consensus.
The PPP leaders said the government was determined not to allow any foreign country to take action on our soul and added, the government was fully capable of cooping with national and international affairs. Pakistan is a sovereign and independent state and the govt would not let any foreign power to play with its integrity or act against its interests.
