Zardari’s election as president against PPP’s interest: Qazi

Amir Jamat-i-Islami, Qazi Hussain Ahmed Wednesday said Pakistan People’s Party Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari’s election as president will be against the interest of the country, nation and even PPP itself because “he is a controversial figure”. Talking to media after addressing a seminar on promotion of Hijab here, he said he advocated boycotting of the general elections but PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif turned a deaf ear to his advice. But now the whole nation is suffering from the outcomes of the elections, he added.
