Rs 132 million for new disease diagnostic labs
August 4, 2008 LAHORE (APP) - The government will spend Rs 132 million to set up new disease diagnostic laboratories in Punjab to provide latest veterinary support services to the livestock farmers.
Talking to a delegation of livestock farmers at his residence here Sunday, Senior Minister Raja Riaz Ahmad said the project would ensure complete coverage of diagnostic services at district level.
The minister said that a hefty grant of Rs 1.9 million had been allocated in the current fiscal year for the livestock sector.
