Man shoots newly-married daughter dead

LAHORE - Four people including a minor boy and a newly-married girl were murdered in separate incidents in the city on Eid days.

Reportedly, 20-year-old woman Mamoona of Jamshed Town had contracted love marriage with Muhammad Khalil of the same area some months ago. Mamoona’s, parents unhappy over the love marriage, had refused to meet the couple.

On the first day of Eid, Mamoona wished to see her parents and visited them along with her husband.

As they reached there, Mamoona’s father got infuriated and opened indiscriminate fire on them. Resultantly, Mamoona and her husband sustained multiple injuries and were rushed to the Services Hospital where she succumbed to injuries but her husband’s condition was reported critical.

Manawan police registered a case on the complaint of Khalil’s brother Muhammad Aqil with no arrest so far. The body of the girl has been shifted to the city morgue for autopsy.

In another incident an 8th class student was found strangulated from a ground near Sagian Pull on the second day of Eid in Islampura police limits.

The boy identified as Muhammad Ali was the son of a local resident Muhammad Saleem and was also sodomized by the killer(s).
