Man shoots newly-married daughter dead

In terror and fear among the visitors of the park, the families along with their children rushed to the safe place to avoid any untoward incident.

During cross firing, however, four children of different families sustained bullet injuries and were rushed to the Mayo Hospital. The children were identified as Amna, Usman, Waqar and Sonia. One of the victims, Amna however, succumbed to her injuries at the hospital while condition of the two others was reported critical.

Police reached the spot but the members of the both groups had managed to escape from the scene.  Shafiqabad police registered a case against them on the complaint of victim girl’s father Muhammad Sudhir with no arrest so far.

In another incident near Factory Area police, a man strangulated his wife over a minor family dispute.

It is learnt that a resident of Kamahan, Fajru Khan, first scuffled with his wife, Rashida Bibi, over a minor issue and later strangulated her with a rope. Rashida Bibi died at the spot while the alleged killer managed to escape from the spot.

The victim woman’s son Abdul Razaq told the police that the killer was his stepfather and used to quarrel with his mother over minor issues. The police registered a case against Fajru Khan and sent the body of the woman to the city morgue for autopsy.
