New police force for VVIPs protection

LAHORE - A new police force is being established in the provincial capital, dedicated only to the protection of VIPs and VVIPs especially the politicians, The Nation has learnt.

The decision to set up the trained and special force came after the increased vulnerability of the politicians in the face of heightened suicide attack as the one happened the other day where a suicide bomber tried to kill ANP leader at Charsadda.

The new force has been put together from the available strength of the police. The policemen selected for the new force will be given special training to counter target attacks against the politicians.
