New police force for VVIPs protection

A batch of police officials has completed the training at Elite Police Training School and has been given assignments in this regard.

Another group of police officials is being trained at the moment.

Talking to The Nation, Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Operations Chaudhry Shafiq said the city police high-ups have made especial arrangements to create this force after a wave of terrorism in the country.

Giving details about the training courses, he said the training includes improvement of the skill of police officials to provide especial security cover to the venue, route and the VVIPs.
