Roti at Rs 4-5 as flour price increases
Source: Our Staff Reporter October 4, 2008 “We were selling roti at Rs 3 when the flour price was Rs 300 per 20-kg bag in the open market. Now the government has announced an increase of Rs 120 in the price of 20-kg flour bag so we have to sale roti at Rs 4,” a tandoor owner in Samanabad area said, when contacted.
According to the market sources, most of the tandoor owners have stopped selling roti to avoid crackdown launched by the government against tandoors for selling roti above Rs 2.
