Inquiry incharge 'backing killers'

LAHORE - The Incharge investigation police New Anarkali was accused of allegedly backing the criminals involved in the murder case of a canteen owner.

Some four months ago, Jahangir Paul alias Awamk Butt, who was elder brother of Nawa-i-Waqt’s staffer, Zahid Paul, was shot dead in the area of New Anarkali in front of the City Division Police Headquarter.

Since the case had been registered, the investigation officers were using delaying tactics and were not cooperating with the victim’s family, which has become a rolling stone between the investigation officials and the police high ups.
