Lawyers meet today to decide strategy

 Punjab Minister for Population Welfare, Neelam Jabbar Chaudhry has said that in order to provide standardised healthcare facilities to all segments of society at their doorstep, government is promoting public-private partnership. She appreciated that the private healthcare institutions working under NGOs/ trusts were rendering valuable services.

She said that interest free loans were being provided to the private practitioners/ NGOs to establish their own clinics and hospitals whereas scope of the concerned institutions is also being enhanced.

According to an official handout, she stated this while talking to delegations of doctors, NGOs here on Sunday. She said that private healthcare and educational institutions playing active role for the promotion of latest education and healthcare facilities. She hoped that private sector would establish their healthcare institutions in small towns and remote areas so that modern treatment facilities could be available to the majority of the masses at affordable prices even free of cost.
