CDG plans to regularise all marriage halls

Insider in the DCO office said the DCO took up the matter during a recent meeting with Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and sought his directions to cope with the situation. Under the new directions, the DCO was likely to circulate the letter ordering all Town Municipal Officers (TMOs) to prepare the lists of all the registered and unregistered marriage halls. Union council nazims and police authorities will assist the TMOs to carry out their official assignment, he added.  

It may be recalled that District Coordinator Officer Sajjad Ahmed Bhutta on June 4 had set up a committee to take legal action against the violation of one-dish restriction at the wedding parties.
