LHC issues notices on hike in power rates

Lahore High Court has summoned NEPRA and other concerned authorities on a petition filed against the hike in power, gas and petroleum rates. The provincial chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Waseem Akhtar in his petition also pleaded for making the federal government as party. The petitioner pleaded that the power tariffs being increased regularly still the load shedding period increasing continuously damaging national economy and creating hardships for general public.
