Shahbaz suspends LDA officers
Source: Our Staff Reporter October 6, 2008 LAHOR - Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif has issued orders for immediate suspension of the LDA officers who failed to demolish plazas and high-rise buildings constructed in violation of relevant laws. He also issued instructions for calling explanation of the Director General posted during this period.
He ordered a complete survey of all petrol pumps and gas stations in the provincial metropolis and formation of a 3-member special committee for this purpose.
The Chief Minister also gave instructions for setting up of a beautiful park over one thousand kanal of land in Johar Town. He was presiding over a meeting regarding illegal plazas and high-rise buildings in the provincial metropolis here on Monday. Provincial Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, MNA Mian Marghoob Ahmad, Khawaja Ahmad Hasaan, Advocate General Punjab, DG LDA, MD WASA, Chairman Task Force Mustafa Kamal as well as officers concerned were present on the occasion.
