Zardari’s win to ensure Parliament’s supremacy

The leaders of PPP have said that the election of PPP Co-chairman, Asif Ali Zardari will strengthen the Parliament and uphold its supremacy. The PPP leaders including Munir Ahmed Khan, Aziz-ur-Rehman Chan and Malik Aiwan stated this while addressing a press conference here on Sunday. They said the President is part of the Parliament and now the Presidency will be occupied by a person who is not only a veteran politician but also rendered sacrifices for the cause of democracy. He also served in jail but never made any compromise with the dictator, they added.
