Hearing put off indefinitely
Source: Our Staff Reporter November 7, 2008 LAHORE - A seven-member bench of the Lahore High Court adjourned indefinitely the suo moto proceedings into locking of courtrooms after the top Punjab government officials submitted evidence of the action taken against the responsible.
The scheduled time of the proceedings which was announced on Wednesday was 11:00 am but the court held proceedings well before 9:30 am. On last hearing the proceedings were held in open court but on Friday in-camera proceedings were conducted amid tight security. No lawyers or media men were allowed to attend the proceedings. A heavy contingent of police was deployed inside LHC that had cordoned off the courtroom where hearing was going on.
