Consumers using 300 units will be protected in new tariff: Ashraf

LAHORE - Federal Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has said the consumers using up to 300 units will be protected in the new tariff regime and new rates will be announced on Tuesday.

Addressing a press conference here at Wapda House, he said that new tariff was designed to protect lifeline and the middle class consumers using not more than 300 units.

The minister, however, refused to give details of the changes in the new tariff. “It will only be clear by Tuesday when final decision will be taken. We promise to pick the best possible option, keeping in mind the public opinion” he said.
