PIA starts inquiry into Jeddah-Lahore flight delay
By AMRAIZ KHAN October 8, 2008 He was of the view that if management wanted to take action against cabin crew then it should first take action against pilot and cockpit crew who left the plane earlier.
He said that after the step of grounding cabin crew staff, “we registered our protest with administration and Jahangir Pathan and Director Flight Operation Capt Shujah who reviewed the decision and our staff is restored on duty.”
The PIA top officials have constituted an inquiry committee to further probe into the issue. The members of the committee are: an official of legal section, deputy general manager, human resource and manager security PIA.
When contacted the spokesperson of the PIA, he said that there was no issue of duplicity in boarding cards but it was an issue of the over time of the cabin crew which was settled after negotiation with MD PIA a couple of days back.
