Kalabagh Dam solution to 70pc economic problems

LAHORE - The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), while congratulating PPP Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari for winning the presidential election with a thumping majority, has urged the newly-elected president to use this golden opportunity to gather consensus for early construction of Kalabagh Dam, which is a solution to 70 per cent of our economic problems that are due to shortage of energy in the country.

LCCI President Mohammad Ali Mian stated this while talking to economic journalists at an Iftar/Dinner hosted in their honour here at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday. Senior Vice President Mian Muzaffar Ali, Vice President Shafqat Saeed Piracha and a large number of LCCI Executive Committee members were also present on the occasion.
