7 doctors of Mayo Hospital suspended for negligence

He further told this scribe that a lady doctor Dr Afshan gave no response to his requests and remained busy on his mobile phone for more than 10 minutes as she was talking to somebody. She got furious when he again tried to interfere and explain her about the deteriorating condition of her daughter.
He claimed that her young daughter died due to acute negligence of the emergency doctors when they paid no heed to his repeated requests.
It is also learnt reliably that the doctor who provided treatment to the girl at a private hospital also appeared before that inquiry committee and informed the committee members that according to the investigations, the condition of the girl was not critical. When contacted Medical Superintendent Dr Zafar Ikram, he expressed his complete ignorance about the suspension of the emergency doctors saying that he had received no orders about the suspension of the doctors from the Punjab Health department so far.
To a query, he said that he had no knowledge about the names of the doctors who were accused of negligence in the incident.
