ASI, 4 dacoits killed in encounter

The other police officials present outside the Dera also retaliated the fire. Cross firing between the criminals and the police remained continued for one and half hour. Resultantly four robbers were killed. The criminals were identified through their National Identity Cards and driving licenses. The outlaws who were found dead in the encounter were identified as Muhammad Iqbal, Master Ijaz, Zulfiqar Ali and Mohsin Nawaz.

According to a police handout, the UC Nazim Malik Azam also fired on the police party and later managed to escape from the spot along with his other accomplices.

Police later recovered huge cache of illegal arms from the Dera and registered a case against the UC Nazim and his other accomplices under Anti Terrorism Act.

Police said that the criminals were wanted by the police in several incidents of heinous crime. They had also killed four other policemen in Daska City police station.
