Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER October 9, 2008 LAHORE - Editor-in-Chief daily The Nation and Nawa-i-Waqt, Majid Nizami has said that Pakistan was created in the name of Islam and on the basis of ‘Two-Nation Theory’, and it was not achieved for the army generals.
He was addressing the ‘Education Award 2008’ ceremony held at the Children Library Complex here on Thursday. The award ceremony was also attended by Jamaat-e-Islami leader Liaquat Baloch, PML-N leader Pervez Malik, Khawaja Hassan and others.
Majid Nizami said that Quaid-e-Azam wanted to turn Pakistan into a place for Islamisation but the generals who ruled this country for most of the time since its formation turned it into a place to carry out their own experiments.
As per sayings of the Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal this country was to be made an Islamic democratic welfare state, he added.
