Police indifferent to octogenarian's agony

He said SI Asharf called him to PS to submit a formal application, which he did on Monday. He complained that SI again summoned him on Tuesday to make some correction in the application but the FIR was not registered again.

On the very next day, SHO Javed Virk called Imran to PS and again deferred the matter on the pretext that application for registering of case was in possession of SI Ashraf who had gone home.

Imran pointed out that he again visited the PS on Thursday but neither SHO Virk nor SI Ashraf were present in PS. When contacted SSP Operations Shafiq Ahmed told the Nation that he would take up the matter immediately but when he was contacted later he did not respond. Haleema Bibi and his son have appealed to the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, Justice Sayed Zahid Hussain and the chief minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif to take immediate action against indifference of police.
