LHC adjourns hearing till 31

The Lahore High Court on Friday adjourned hearing of an election petition against PML-Q MNA Faisal Saleh Hayat till Oct 31.

The proceedings were deferred without any development, as the respondent was not in country.

The petition was filed by PPP Abida Hussain who lost her Feb-18 election against Faisal Hayat from NA-88, Jhang.

She alleged that Faisal had committed grave irregularities on the day of polling and rigged the polls.

She prayed to the court to declare Faisal disqualified for holding the seat of National Assembly and declared her as returned candidate.
