Millers want govt policy to be struck down

LHC had granted interim bail to Shehzad Gul and Mahmood but SI Saeed of Police Station Urooti Kamalia Toba Tek Singh had arrested him and sent to jail for five days. The entire matter was transpired to the court which took immediate action on Friday.

Court issues notice to commerce ministry

The Lahore High Court has issued notice to ministry of trade and commerce on a petition filed against the suspension of Gujrat Chamber of Commerce office-bearers and appointment of administrator there.

The defunct president of GCC Yawar Rafique pleaded that they were working legally and were observing rules and regulation. But the government made them dysfunctional and appointed administrator giving him a task to scrutinise voters list and thereafter hold free and fair election within 60 days.

He refuted the allegation that the body was induct ineligible firms in the voters list to give benefit to a specific group.
