'President's Press talk disappointed masses'

Dr Sahibzada Abul Kher Muhammad Zubair stated Wednesday that the first public appearance of Zardari as President with Afghan President Hamid Karzai, had left the same impression in the public mind which did Pervez Musharraf carrying two puppies in his lap on his first public appearance. Sahibzada said the people had deep expectations with the newly elected President to speak at the conference about the pressing problems of load shedding, constantly surging prices of commodities, border situation, military operation in tribal areas and the government policies to deal with them all but nothing on this subject was said by him.

He said the gift given by Zardari immediately assuming charge of the office was a reeling increase in the power tariff. He said the way Zardari took note of the holiday announced by the Sindh government to celebrate his victory in the election and he ordered to revoke the same to safe resources of the country, he must also take stock of the situation to know who were the persons behind increasing the power tariff and what was their interest involved in it.
