Govt urged to repeal all biased laws against women

The owners of media industry must facilitate and strengthen women’s role in their respective organisations, ensure their equal wages, assign them duties without discrimination, place women in policy-making positions, provide proper facilities at workplace for privacy of person and child care, arrange advocate maternity leave with full pay, pick and drop facility for late-night assignments, establish disciplinary mechanism for disciplinary action to eliminate sexual harassment and create women friendly environment at workplaces, the media bodies such as PFUJ, APNS, CPNE, PBA, SAFMA and others to give at least 30 per cent representation on their executive bodies to women.
