'Zardari seeks sympathies by showing BB portrait'

LAHORE - Former federal minister Ghulam Dastagir Khan has said Army role in the current circumstances seems to be significantly changed positively as, Gen Ashfaq Pervaiz Kiyani is the first Army Chief who is giving the impression that Pakistan’s biggest disciplined institution now following the course of democratic forces to boost its image in world.

Talking to newsmen on the occasion of the 15th death anniversary of former Punjab Chief Minister Ghulam Haider Wyne at Aiwan-e-Karkunan-e-Tehrike-Pakistan here on Saturday.

He said that though the role of army in state affairs was not up to the mark in past, however, presently its character was very constructive and optimistic.
