Khawaja Sharif takes oath as Chief Justice LHC

Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif has taken oath as LHC Chief Justice (CJ) here. Punjab Governor, Salman Taseer administered oath at the Governor House in a simple ceremony here, which was attended by the Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif, provincial ministers, LHC Judges and a large number of high civil and police officers. Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif, who had joined LHC on May 21, 1998, is the 38th LHC CJ. He had refused to take oath under PCO in former President Pervez Musharraf era and was restored in his former position and seniority along with the Supreme Court Chief Justice, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
