Doctors protest against health reforms policy

LAHORE - A large number of Mayo Hospital doctors Wednesday staged a strong protest against the health reforms policies of the Punjab health department and administration of the hospital which has miserably failed to improve functioning of the institute.

The protest was arranged by the Young Doctors Association of the Mayo Hospital that took out a rally from the King Edward Medical University’s auditorium to the office of the Medical Superintendent Mayo Hospital.

Dozens of doctors took part in the protest and chanted slogans against the Punjab health department as well as the hospital management holding them responsible for the deteriorating condition of the provision of health to the patients in the Mayo Hospital.
