70 new dengue patients tested positive in Punjab
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER November 13, 2008 LAHORE - At least 70 more new dengue patients were tested positive in their clinical reports across the province on Thursday.
Out of these 16 patients were reported in the public hospitals of the city including 14 in the Mayo Hospital, 10 in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital while one each in the Jinnah and Services Hospital.
Whereas, according to a spokesman of Punjab Health Department, during the last 24 hours about 22 new dengue patients have been admitted in the four teaching hospitals of Lahore whereas no dengue patient is under treatment in Children Hospital as well as Lahore General Hospital.
The spokesman further stated that total number of dengue patients which have been reported during the last 11 months of 2008 is 833 whereas 90 patients are under treatment in different hospitals out of which 44 in Mayo, 24 in Sir Ganga Ram, 8 in Jinnah and 14 in Services hospital are under treatment.
