Regarding NPT Dr Rafique said its activities were enhancing day after day and Ideological Summer School is now being started from Karachi and Peshawar after having successful experiments in Lahore and Islamabad.

Begum Afifa Mamdot said Pakistan came into being on the name of Kalma Tayyaba and we have to develop this country according to this Kalma.

Begum Suriyya K H Khurshid said it was the day to remember those who sacrificed for this country.

Amjad Hameed Dasti said Pakistani flag was hoisted in our homeland between 13 and 14 August 1947 at 12:00 midnight.

Ghulam Nabi Lone said Despite Indian atrocities, the Kashmiris still wanted to join Pakistan, as they knew Kashmir is jugular vein of Pakistan.

MPA Begum Sakeena Shaheen Khan said today is the day to pay tribute to the martyrs of 1947 and to condemn the killers of innocent children of Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafza.

Prof Dr Parveen Khan said the Hindus believed that India was only for them and the Muslims have no share in it but it was divided and Pakistan came into being as an independent and ideological state.

Meanwhile, on the request of NPT Secretary Shahid Rashid, Allama Ahmad Ali Kasuri offered fateha for the departed souls of Kashmiri leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz along with other Kashmiri martyrs and those who were killed in the last night suicide bomb attack.

Afterwards, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Majid Nizami and workers of Pakistan Movement laid foundation stone of Nazaria Pakistan building. On this occasion, special prayers were held for the prosperity and integrity of the country.
