LHC seeks reply from FO
Source: Our Staff Reporter October 14, 2008 LAHORE - Justice Mian Najamuz Zaman of the Lahore High Court on Tuesday sought para wise comments from the Foreign Office, Islamabad in a petition challenging the act of Pakistan embassy in Greece for blacklisting over 200 Pakistanis residing over there.
Earlier, the judge had issued notices to FO through its Director General Europe and Director to Europe (Greece) in Islamabad but they failed to submit their replies. The petition was filed by a lawyer, Altaf Rahim, along with two of the blacklisted Pakistan originated Greeks namely Mian Manzoor Hussain and Mian Manzoor.
The petitioner said after July 7, 2005 London bomb blasts, 28 innocent Pakistanis were abducted by foreign agencies in Greece. After that the relatives and friends of missing Pakistanis contacted to Pakistan embassy in Athens but found no support from them.
