Speedy car crushes minor, injures uncle

Rescue 1122 and the Edhi officials who reached the spot soon after the incident, told this scribe that Khawar and his paternal nephew Nafis were going back to their home on a motorcycle after meeting their relatives.

As soon as they reached on the Ferozepur Road near FC College, the speedy car, which was coming from Kalma Chowk side towards Muslim Town, suddenly crossed the road divider (green belt) and hit the bike.

Khawar was coming on his bike from Muslim Town towards Kalma Chowk, the officials said and added that the accident took place a few dozens yards away from the Rescue 1122 head office.

Quoting an eyewitness motorcyclist, a Rescue 1122 official said that he witnessed the car being driven in a zigzag way by a young lady. Perhaps she had lost her control on her vehicle, which later crossed the green belt and ran over the motorcycle, he said.
