Speedy car crushes minor, injures uncle

Both Khawar and his nephew sustained critical head injuries, the Rescue 1122 official said adding that the minor died at the spot while the other was taken to the Services Hospital in critical condition.

An investigator of the Gulberg police claimed that the young lady did not try to escape from the spot. She also sustained minor injuries and was provided treatment at the spot.

He said that police had registered a case against the girl despite immense pressure by her family who asked the police to give them time for reconciliation efforts with the victim family. The family of the victim boy was not ready for reconciliation and insisted the police for FIR against the car driver girl, he said.

The body of the minor boy was shifted to the city morgue for autopsy.
