Iran not to bow before USA

About the Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project, Taskhiri said it was not just for economic benefits. "We call the project peace line. The project would promote regional cooperation. It would help further strengthen the relations among the countries of the region," he said.  

He condemned the USA's move to create its hegemony in the region. "USA government wants to control on the resources of other countries especially the oil producing countries. Israel is such an element in our region that is not natural. It was set up by oppressive world powers. Zionist state is not acceptable. It will end and cease to exist. It will be replaced with a democratic government of Palestinians," the religious leader explained.

He said USA wanted to pressurize Iran by using different tactics and try to corner it. "It will never succeed in its nefarious designs. The people of Iran are clear about their future. They want development and progress," he averred.   

He said Pak-Iran relations were special and had been cemented over the years. "Pak-Iran relations are deep rooted and cannot get strained in any way. Leaders of both countries have announced that we have excellent relations. Both countries should work for uniting the Ummah and strengthening the Islamic brotherhood.
