Student killed in encounter
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER October 15, 2008 LAHORE - A passerby student was killed during an encounter between the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) police and an alleged criminal in front of the office of former coach of Pakistan Hockey Team Olympian Naveed Alam on the Wahdat Road.
CIA police arrested Naveed Alam and his friend Muhammad Yousaf for providing shelter to the criminal at his Wahdat Colony office.
A CIA police official told this scribe that police was tipped off that a criminal later identified as Tariq alias Tarqu was present at the office of Olympian Naveed Alam in Gohar Center, Wahdat Road.
