Student killed in encounter

Naveed Alam gave a pistol to the criminal who later opened fire on the police party and managed to escape from the spot. A passerby student namely Umer Irshad sustained a bullet on his neck when the criminal Tariq opened indiscriminate fire on the police. The injured youth was rushed to a local hospital but died on the way, CIA police further claimed.

A 50-year-old man, eyewitness of the incident told the newsmen about encounter between the CIA police and unknown men. He said that police and the unknown people opened fire on each other and resultantly, a youth sustained bullet injuries.

CIA police said that Tariq alias Tarqu was bodybuilder and had also won competition of bodybuilding as Mr Arifwala. Police suspected that he was also involved in the dacoity incident that took place near Governor’s House in which two youths were shot dead by armed motorcyclists.
