No event in City to pay tribute
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER August 17, 2008 LAHORE - Legendary singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s death anniversary was observed with solemnity across the country.
No function was held in the city to pay tributes to the master qawwal. Neither Punjab Arts Council nor the Lahore Arts Council organised any function or programme to pay tribute to the renowned singer. TV and radio channels, however, continued to play throughout the day his popular songs and qawwalis. Music stores had especially put up special offers to sell the cassettes and CDs of the popular singer.
