Shoppers protest closure of Sunday bazaar
By Yasir Habib Khan November 16, 2008 LAHORE - Hundreds of shoppers and shopkeepers staged a protest demonstration on the closure of Model Town Sunday Bazaar by the district government.
Shopkeepers who were forced to shut down their makeshift shops gathered on the road and set tires on fire to record their protest. They were chanting full-throated slogans against the decision terming it injustice.
