Chairperson of the Commission Asma Jahangir stated here on Monday now the public expectations with the government have gone up and it must do with sincere and dedication to live up to their expectations to address their problems.

She said resignation by Musharraf was one of a few benign acts, which he did to the nation during his nine years tenure however nobody was there to mourn his removal from power. She said had Musharraf a real love for the country he should have resigned immediately after February 18 elections.

Asma further said after the removal of Musharraf the responsibilities of the government had increased for which the coalition must stay together and act wisely in the interest of the country. “Increasing price hike, location of the missing persons, security of the citizens, law and order, unemployment and economic dwindling are some problems, which call for immediate attention of the government,” she added.
