Rs521m budget for KEMU approved
By ASIF CHAUDHRY August 19, 2008 LAHORE - The 4th syndicate meeting of King Edward Medical University (KEMU) Monday has decided to present draft of the Rules & Regulations of KEMU for approval in the next meetings of the academic council and syndicate respectively.
It was the first KEMU’s syndicate meeting since Prof Dr Zafarullah Khan assumed charge as vice chancellor.
Besides this, the syndicate has also approved budget of Rs 521 million for the financial year 2008-2009.
The meeting unanimously hailed the performance of KEMU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zafarullah Khan and other officials of management when a report of 110-days performance of KEMU was presented before it.
VC Prof Dr Zafarullakh Khan chaired the meeting while vice chancellors of Engineering University, LUMS, Dean of Punjab University, additional secretaries of the health department, finance and education department, member of Public Service Commission, Medical Superintendents of the attached hospitals including Mayo Hospital, Lady Wallington and Lady Atchison Hospital, Vice Chancellor of the KEMU, Registrar and professors also attended the meeting.
