Milk, beverages most adulterated food items

LAHORE - Milk and beverages are the most adulterated items consumed by the Lahorites, reveals laboratory analysis report of samples of different food items collected by the City District Government Food Squad during the last month.

Milk remained the most adulterated food item as 61.86 per cent of the samples collected from different parts of the City were found adulterated with water. Out of 97 milk samples collected during the last month, 60 were found adulterated. Beverages stood second as 51.39pc of the samples collected during the same period were found adulterated. Out of 360 samples of beverages, 185 were found adulterated.
