LHC summons DPOs over 'Q' workers' arrest

LAHORE - Justice M Bilal Khan of the Lahore High Court has sought para-wise comments and personal appearance of District Police Officers (DPOs) of Gujarat and Mandi Baha-ud-Din for September 22 in a petition of PML-Q Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din, opposition leader in Punjab Assembly against alleged arrest of 200 party workers.

The petitioner Ch Zaheer-ud-Din has challenged the ‘illegal’ arrests of party’s workers and alleged political victimization on the part of PML-N led Punjab government. Dr Khalid Ranjha and Ch Fawad Hussain are representing the petitioner.
