Adlia Bahali long march to join masses together

LAHORE - To attract the public support, Adlia Bahali long march on June 10 has joined together lawyers, doctors, professors, traders, civil society workers, political parties, ulema and students.
Representatives of all the said sectors in the coordinating committee meeting at the Punjab Bar Council (PbBC) here on Tuesday pledged their full support to the long march and in order to bring more and more people towards it, they have formed the Mass Mobilisation Committee.
The meeting presided over by Farooq Tariq of the Labour Party also announced to take active part in All Pakistan Lawyers Conventions to be held before June 10 where Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has been invited as chief guest. The mobilisation committee, comprising 17 members, will hold conferences, meetings and will take out rallies to highlight the objectives of the long march and the conventions besides significance of the independent judiciary. The committee will woo the people to join the convention on May 24, next in Faisalabad on May 31 in Peshawar and on June 9 in Lahore where Justice Chaudhry has to speak as a chief guest. The meeting vowed to continue struggle till the judiciary of November 2 is restored and illegal action of November 3 is struck down.
Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation, Mujtaba Shujaur Rahman pledged a complete support of his party PML-N to the long march and the lawyers programme for this purpose.
The meeting condemned the alleged conspiracies by General Pervez Musharraf, establishment and America against the larger national interest.
