By CH AAMER WAQAS November 20, 2008

LAHORE - The Punjab government is mulling amendments in the Police Order 2002 in a bid to improve the performance of the police department.
This was stated by Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah Khan, who was responding to various queries during the Question-Hour at the Punjab Assembly here on Thursday. Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal chaired the session, which started at the scheduled time, that is, 10 am.
Immediately, after the recitation, Treasury member Col (r) Shuja Khanzada drew the attention of the House towards the US attacks on the tribal areas. “The number of attacks are increasingly with every passing day, and the House should specify a day to discuss the issue,” he added besides demanding of the government to send a delegation comprising members from all political parties in the House to NWFP for expressing solidarity with people against air strikes.
Opposition member Mohsin Khan Leghari pointed out, while quoting media reports, that the Indian army was being sent to Afghanistan, which could attack Pakistan in the future.
