The CM also directed that vigilance teams be constituted for curbing hoarding of flour and smuggling of wheat to ensure sale of flour at the rates fixed by the government.

He said that it had come to his notice that the flourmills in some districts were supplying flour at more than the fixed ex-mill rate of Rs 365 per 20-kg flour bag. He ordered that the licenses of all such flourmills be cancelled and these should immediately be sealed.

The chief minister also gave approval for giving cash awards to the government officials as well as private individuals who would identify the elements involved in hoarding and smuggling of wheat. He directed that cash awards be also given to those who would identify the persons engaged in hoarding and overcharging of flour.
