Girls outclass boys in BA, BSc exams

LAHORE - Girls have outclassed boys by securing overall top two positions in BA and BSc annual examination 2008.
A colourful ceremony in this regard was held here in Faisal Auditorium at Punjab University, New Campus, on Saturday.
Pass percentage remained 24.67 as 42,653 out of the total 172,888 candidates were declared successful.
Some 10,428 male candidates were declared successful out of the 62,816 male candidates appeared in the exam showing 16.6 pass percentage.
As many as 110,072 female candidates appeared while 32,225 were declared passed producing 29.28 percent pass ratio.
In the BSc programme, Mahwish Nadeem from Leadership College, Sialkot, clinched overall first position by securing 665/800 (83.13 percent) marks.
